What We Do
Once you have provided a draft set of plans for review. In return, we provide Accredited Certifiers, Building Designers, Builders or Home-Owners with a full set of bushfire compliant plans and an accompanying letter of compliance from an Accredited BPAD Consultant.

Certifiers, why use us?
As a former Certifier I know how difficult it is to keep on top of every change in legislation and every Standard we deal with. We are expected to issue a fully BCA compliant set of CC plans and yet are not allowed to make any "design changes" to these plans even by making notes on the plans. By simply providing us your plans we can make all the necessary changes for you, ensuring the CC plans you are issuing fully comply with all of the legislative bushfire requirements. Peace of mind!

How the process works?

Email Documents
Download a copy of our fee proposal below, upload a copy of your signed fee proposal acceptance, draft Construction Certificate plans along with any Council approvals including approved bushfire reports (Upload button below) that indicate any require BAL (Bushfire Attack Level).

Review
Our fully accredited BPAD consultant, licensed builder and building surveyor will check you plans for any non-compliances, making any notes to be passed onto our drafting department for the necessary changes to be made. By uploading your plans, you agree to our fee schedule (please read full fee schedule explanation contained within the downloadable fee proposal). If we have further questions in relation to your project we will contact you via email.

Plans and Certificate returned.
Upon amendment of the plans, a final review will be undertaken by our BPAD Accredited Bushfire Consultant. Once satisfied that the required amendments have been incorporated, a compliance letter will be issued to the Certifier, Builder, and/or Owner confirming that the plans comply with the relevant bushfire-related Conditions of Consent and applicable BAL construction requirements.
At this stage, you will also be provided with a copy of the amended compliant plans in PDF format, together with a set of specifications relevant to the nominated BAL level.

Pricing
All our pricing is general in nature and will cover most projects. Overly complex projects or those requiring Performance Solutions may incur an additional fee, however, all pricing is confirmed by you prior to us proceeding with your assessment. Fees include a full assessment of your plans against the approved bushfire risk assessment report and any Development Consent Conditions. We provide an in-house drafting fee (included $220) whereby we place all the necessary bushfire notes on your plan and highlight any non-compliances. If you wish to place your own notes on the plans please simply advise us in your fee proposal.
Who are we?
Our Founder and Principal Consultant Darryl Pendlebury has been a fully licensed builder for nearly 35 years and has constructed thousands of dwellings, alterations and additions over that time — with many hundreds in bushfire-affected areas.
From 2012 to 2025, he was an Accredited Certifier in NSW, approving and inspecting thousands of developments across both the private sector and Local Government.
As an Accredited BPAD Bushfire Consultant since 2015, he now specialises in bushfire construction, bringing a unique, multi-disciplinary skillset to support Accredited Certifiers, builders and homeowners in ensuring their plans are Construction Certificate–ready.
